Khadine’s story

Welcome!

Thanks for taking the time to stop by and learn a bit about me. Let me take you on a journey through my life and why I'm so passionate about what I do.

My Early Years

Growing up, I spent most of my childhood under the care of my grandparents. My mother struggled with mental illness, and back then, there wasn't much understanding or support available for children like me.

Life was challenging and unstable, and I often felt disconnected from others, finding comfort in solitude. School wasn't easy either—I was just an average student and became increasingly withdrawn. By the time I left high school, I had stopped talking to people.

Turning Life's Challenges into Triumphs

By the age of 25, I was running my own massage therapy and reflexology business, enjoying my independence. But then, seemingly overnight, everything changed. Anxiety attacks, flashbacks, extreme fatigue—I was suddenly struggling with Complex PTSD, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS), and Fibromyalgia.

I had a physical and emotional collapse. I had to close my practice, facing the possibility that I might never work again.

During this dark period, the simple joys—like daily visits from my neighbour’s cats—became lifelines. I learned to appreciate the little things, savouring moments of peace and connection with nature.

Taking Back Control

Determined not to give up on life, I enrolled in a Community Services Welfare diploma at TAFE. It was tough—sleeping in class, struggling with severe pain, even losing my vision for 6 weeks—yet I persisted. Despite setbacks, I completed my qualification and discovered a passion for social justice.

University followed, yet I went from getting high marks to failing the assessments. Fibro-fog clouded my thinking, making even simple tasks like reading and writing a challenge. However, through perseverance and self-care strategies, I not only graduated but achieved first-class honors!

Finding EFT Tapping

One day, while browsing online, I stumbled upon EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) and felt an immediate pull to learn more. The practical nature of this approach intrigued me—it offered a hands-on way to address real-life challenges. I decided to work on an event that I believed I had already resolved through years of counselling.

Initially, recalling this event stirred no emotions or physical sensations. However, as I began tapping, a wave of emotions and sensations overwhelmed me—I even felt like I might vomit! This profound experience shattered my belief that I had fully healed from past trauma. Despite neatly boxing it away in my mind, my body still held onto it.

In the days following, I felt as if my cells were awakening, dancing in the sunlight for the first time. It was an amazing sensation. I realised that if tapping could have such a profound impact during training, it held immense potential for my own healing journey and for supporting others. Thus began my transformative journey with EFT tapping.

Why I Do What I Do

In the years since my crash, I've gained far more than I ever imagined. Today, I not only feel alive—I'm thriving. I've learned invaluable lessons along the way. There were moments when I nearly gave up hope of living a joyful and meaningful life. But here I am, experiencing a life that's richer and more fulfilling than ever before. I'm engaged in work that I’m passionate about, and physically, I'm achieving things I once thought were out of reach—like enjoying long walks, swimming, and paddle boarding.

I understand firsthand that healing from trauma is a roller coaster. That's why I'm deeply committed to supporting others along their healing journey. I’ve deepened my connection to nature.

I didn't navigate this journey alone. I owe immense gratitude to the doctors, counsellors, and natural health practitioners who played their part in my own journey and transformation. Just as they supported me, I'm here to support you.

Through my experiences, I've gained insights and knowledge that enable me to work with you on a deeper level.
